Sewing Lounge

You can reserve a machine to use at Dabble & Stitch any time classes or parties are not already scheduled. We can host private parties and classes upon request!

All sewists are welcome; the lounge area is not instructor led but we are happy to help if we can. We especially welcome those with a dusty machine stored away in their closet, those who have been too intimidated to take a class, or those who have been frustrated working on their own. Stop in and sew with us!

The basic machines available in the lounge are two Necci EX30′s, computerized machines with 30 stitches available; the Janome 8077 and 7330, also computerized with 30 stitches but a few less bells and whistles than the Necci.

Quilters and garment makers may be interested in reserving the wide bed Janome 7700 –  it has an 11″ bed which is great for working on larger garments or quilts; it also has 250 stitches.  A 4 thread serger (Janome 8002D) is also available.

Want to make your project unique? We have a Necchi EC100 embroidery machine with a 7 inch hoop. You can embroider a name on a baby blanket or choose one of the preset designs.

A machine can be reserved for as little as one hour or the whole day. The cost is $10 per hour for the basic machines, and $15 per hour for the serger, embroidery machine and wide bed quilter. Discounts are available for members or by purchase of multiple hours. 

You are also welcome to bring your own machine and reserve space in the lounge for $5 per hour.
